City of Laredo Health Department issued the following announcement on Dec. 26.
Using antibiotics to treat or prevent COVID-19 is dangerous and ineffective. Antibiotics don’t work on infections caused by viruses. Antibiotics can cause side effects and lead to antibiotic resistance. Learn more: www.cdc.gov/drugresistance.
